The Margin

THE MARGIN

By K Marie

do you try to
confine Him?
do you
doodle God
in the
margin of your
paper?

on the left.
somewhere
uncentered.

behind a fine
red line.
on the fringe
of your life.

balanced
behind your
tightrope
of regret.

do you place
Him in this
box?

to do so
will leave
you to linger
in the margin
instead.

this is where
many intentions
lay.

damaged,
unrealized,
unspoken,
once beautiful.

He belongs in the center.
